Betony Vernon is a strikingly beautiful woman of unusual, magnetic charm. You can picture her coming out of a Buick in a 40s film noir, soaked in a smoky, muffled background. She could be the leading character of a David Lynch’ movie, daring and red-haired enough. But despite her gun moll-inspired charm, Betony is a woman of the present. From designer of sado-chic jewels to sexual anthropologist and writer of The Boudoir Bible- the Uninhibited Sex Guide for Today, Betony uses her art to inspire and, furthermore, to educate. She pursues the idea that  pleasure is the real taboo, not sex itself, and she believes that sexual knowledge and sensual re-discovery of the body as a sexual whole are the response to the pornographic roles models and ideals that contaminate our sex lives today. She puts her art at the service of those who seek enhanced sexual well-being and satisfaction. The finely crafted sex objects she designs have a double purpose: they are both ornamental and they are a source of empowerment. Designed fot both women and men, her Paradise Found Fine Erotic Jewelry is an invitation to explore and push our boundaries as well as to bring the sense of sacred back into the most intimate of all rituals. And so does her book, born from years of accurate anthropological research,  The Boudoir Bible is the ultimate response to the misconceptions that inhibit our capacity to experience enhanced pleasure.
